Terms of Service

Scope
These terms apply to all services provided by RemapIQ, including ECU remapping, vehicle diagnostics, coding, battery registration and related mobile work.
Vehicle & Customer Requirements
You confirm that the vehicle is owned by you or that you have authority to authorise the work.
- The vehicle must be roadworthy, safe to work on, and in suitable condition for the requested service.
- You must disclose any known faults, warning lights, modifications, prior tuning, or aftermarket hardware.
- You are responsible for notifying your insurer, finance provider, warranty provider or manufacturer where required.
Service Limitations
Any performance, economy, drivability or fault-resolution figures are estimates only. Results may vary depending on vehicle age, mileage, maintenance, hardware version, software version, fuel quality and previous modifications.
Some functions, calibrations or coding requests may not be available on every ECU, module, software version or trim level.
We provide software and diagnostic work only. We do not guarantee that a calibration will resolve unrelated mechanical, electrical or sensor faults.
Emissions Services
RemapIQ may offer emissions-related diagnostic or software services only where the work is lawful, appropriate to the vehicle and suitable for its intended use.
- The legality of any emissions-related modification depends on the vehicle, the software change, the hardware fitted and how the vehicle is used.
- Removing, disabling, bypassing or defeating emissions-control equipment or functions may make a vehicle non-compliant for road use, MOT purposes, insurance purposes or applicable local regulations.
- We do not represent emissions-related services as universally road-legal.
Euro 4 / Euro 5 / Euro 6
Where a vehicle is described by reference to Euro 4, Euro 5, Euro 6 or another emissions standard, that description is for technical identification and compatibility only. A Euro class does not by itself make an emissions-related modification lawful for road use.
The customer remains responsible for ensuring that any change to a Euro 4, Euro 5 or Euro 6 vehicle continues to comply with all applicable law, MOT requirements and insurance conditions.
Off-road and motorsport use
Where a service is supplied for off-road, export, demonstration, competition or motorsport use, you confirm the vehicle will not be used on public roads unless it remains compliant with applicable law.
We may refuse any work that appears intended to evade legal requirements for road use.
Mobile Service
Our default service model is mobile. You must provide safe access to the vehicle, reasonable working space and any reasonable weather protection or power access required for the job.
We may reschedule where conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
Payment & Cancellation
Payment is due in full on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include card, bank transfer, cash or other methods we publish from time to time.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Repeated late cancellations or failed appointments may require a deposit or upfront booking fee for future work.
Liability
- We are not liable for pre-existing faults, hidden defects or mechanical failure unrelated to the work performed.
- We are not liable for damage caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, poor vehicle condition or undisclosed modifications.
- We do not accept liability for indirect loss, lost profits, downtime, missed appointments or consequential loss.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Data Protection
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
